had won a place in the popular vote for the coloring contest. The request was for drawing a character, in an alternate timeline.

What it did instead was trigger a whole short story.
This is a "What if"...20 some years later, and still no Avatar.

Weapon of choice: small pen, a pilot G-Tec-C4. It smudges a bit, but I love working with these for doodles.

Original characters all belong to Mike, Bryan, Nickelodeon and Viacom. I just put them through the time machine treatment.

So here are the roughs 6 pages, thumbnails done in a small sketchbook. I may just go and rework this more nicely later on. It was fun...and possibly as serious a story as it ever popped into my head.

After more than 20 years the search for the avatar must have really weighed on his spirit...also can't help but wonder if Uncle managed to steer him away from his father and the Fire Nation teachings in that time.

Sooo, based on how Zuko is talking during this conversation, it's safe to presume he's bi-passed the annoying and stubborn season 1 Zuko, and is somewhere in the whole frustrated season 2 Zuko?

if I remember right, you put the Azula having children part a little different in the "more finished" drawings

sine Kat is 34 and Aang 12, it would have been interesting if you had continued the story, as Aang could have found one of the daughters of Azula fascinating, and how you would have incorporated Toph into the story

wonder how azula would treat a duaghter that came out as the gender she didnt want. would think that she would consider it imperfection. also, if zuko had not helped out the firenation in some way in the last twenty years, thst ozai would have worried about the possible embrassment zuko would cause. I am proably over thinking it though. I mean, its not like he is doing anything against the fire nation out there. . .

I've read the whole thing but came back to comment on this page. I love it all it's so suspensful! But Azula having kids...yeah can't see it they might be scarred and evil little children like thier mom. :clap::clap:
