I find it really fascinating that you gave the boy a split lip. That seems to be a severe rarity in most media, and it's a fascinating feature, to me. And, of course, Pitch is the wicked, meanie bastard we all know and love. XD MARVELOUS art in this page; I'm an especially big fan of Pitch's eyes in the close-up in the last panel.
uhmm.. sir, i have went through your works & i was wondering... are you an artist member in a famous studio or company, & which country?!!..... my point is its been my dream to major in animations & comics since i was very young, especially animation, if not then its comics (although i don't know if animation & comics are related!!!).... since then i have been developing character's designs & stories, i even made alot of doodles & mini comics.... i am a self-taught art girl when i was a child but still i need to learn more on drawing character movement & anatomy!! same thing goes to backgrounds layouts, animals & robots, etc ... the thing is i am a 2nd year student at ACAD in Alberta, Canada... i thought that there would be animation classes or studios at the college, but regrettably not. i made alot of research about the universities & colleges in Canada before i immigrate there, but the least i found is ACAD!! up until now i have been studying fine arts, art-history & postmodernism!!!!!!......although i enjoyed the classes because they are new to my cultural experience yet it isn't what i am looking for!!!!! i am not complaining but i have been wasting time not practicing in animation & doing fabric, glass, jewelry & other fine arts !!(which i am not)!! & which holded me back couple of years!!!! but atleast if there was an animation college with degree believe me i could have registered without hesitation!!!.....so my question is: i am wondering if i could find an English speaking country that has animation schools after college or during work that accepts Canadian nationality?!!!or more clearly, is there a way to train under your teachings while working with the other staff at the studio?!!!.... the problem is, i need to practice on drawing cartoon characters & my college doesn't afford that!!... furthermore, i have noticed that there are artist on deviantart that are working for Disney, DC & Marvel Comics, Dreamworks & even neckolodion studios!!!.. my hope is to work beside them, gain experience & make my own animation & movies in the near future!!!
sorry for the late reply,.... i just asked my art teacher & he said that Sheridan accepts people living in Toronto & i am from Calgary!!...& one other obstacle: they accept professional portfolio, which i can't grant due to the fact that i have never had a training animation degree before graduation!!!... same goes for Capilano college!!!...but i have heard of Udon comics & Imaginism Studio Subway Sketch Group!!! do you have any idea what are they?, if so, could you tell me what are they about?!!...one last thing, how do you prevent art theft when submitting on the internet like Deviantart!!??
Imaginism is a private online school. You can certainly learn a lot, but I don't think their courses credits are recognised by other institutions? Don't take my word for it. Contact them, ask them questions.
Also make further inquiries for yourself, as Sheridan and Capilano DO accept students from out of province. Write to them directly. Their webpages have plenty of informations too. As for preventing art theft on the internet, I know of no solutions. A thief will find ways. They'll even erase watermarks. Best is to keep an eye out, hope to catch them, tell them to desist or contact the administrators of the website on which they post the stolen art. If you're really nervous about a particular piece being stolen, best is not to post it at all. Only safe way.
Those eyes of his are awesome. I'll admit, I really like your rendition of the movie's Pitch because you give him so much more character than the movie did. In my opinion, Pitch despite being awesomely voiced by Jude Law came off as rather bland to me.
