Getting darker and darker.

As a side note: I will always keep divided Book Pitch and Movie Pitch’s past. I worked over a year with these characters before the books came out. They evolved differently in my head.

That being said, I do love the books and can’t wait to see where the author will take us.

Pitch belongs to Dreamworks.

I even don't have enough words to describe my admiration of you! You are the most awesome artist I've ever seen!! And the greatest Pitch is yours. He's really gorgeous!)) Wish I ever could to draw like you do))))

Actually, that's true I can't put together the Pitch of the books with the movie one,
it's not only the design but something else, their personality maybe.

There is a strong feeling within the fandom that the movie's canon is strikingly different and non-linear to the book-canon. While it would be interesting if the movie and book were able to be linked, I would place my support on the comics coupled with the movie, and the book to be a separate canon. I enjoy fan fictions which choose one or the other and create wondrous tales strictly with their own version of the tale, and I adore that. As I adore this.

Thank you!
Always fun to see people trying to mix in book and movie verse together, or not. I personally stay away from the book verse and its history, as the author is still building upon the world. Even when he will be done, I don't think I'll ever mix the two.

I believe three significant events mark the difference between the books and the movie. Dropping Aster's coat and changing much of his form, changing Pitch's backstory, and the suspicious time-gap that has yet to be explained between the books and the movie. The time-gap will be the clincher for being unable to connect the books and movie, I believe, but combined with the other details, the movie surely becomes a completely separate canon from the books. Which is good in that respect, as I do like both stories.

You worked with the characters before the book? I thought the books was first, like How to train your dragon? I don't get that :O_o:

The author had the idea many many years ago.
Work on the movie started at Dreamworks around 2008. I started around 2010. The first book (a picture book about the Man In The Moon) was published in 2011.
I discovered the author's stories at the same time as the public, when the books were published.

Oh, so that's why your rendition of the characters is so different. Is a weird way of working, well, at least for me because I don't know that world.

Immortals trying to understand humans. It either turns out hilariously entertaining (Discworld Death is freaking adorable) incredibly horrific, or a combination of both (Discworld Auditors).

Given Pitch's job, it's horrific and depressing. Too bad there are no immortal therapists.

The way how Pitch talks reminds me of "Kingdom Hearts". (If you know what that is...)

In other words, Jack Frost might also be doing that, too...

Hmm....Probably.

You know how the Organization XIII is like "I need a heart in order to understand all these 'feelings' and 'emotions' that you people so call it. "

Oh my. Pitch is horribly, and beautifully terrifying on this page. The way you handled sharp reduction in the first and last panel gives off such a presence, it makes the viewer, well myself, feel small.

Anguished Pitch. I knew he looked sad at the beginning of the comic, but I never realized it would accumulate to this. I love how you explore so many dimensions of Pitch.
