Quick quick sketch of the main cast-good guys from the old 80's serie "Mysterieuses Cites d'Or" (Mysterious Cities of Gold).
I learned only yesterday that there is a possibility there may be a follow up to the old serie, over 20 years after it was finished.
YES!! Finally!
Got to keep a cool head though: there were many false starts in the past, the studio (Blue Spirit animation) mentionned as being part of the production seem to specialise itself in pre-school, 3D material.
Still, wait and see!
If it does happen, crossing my fingers they keep a good quality and if they update the look, that it doesn't get too weird or widely different.
IF it gets done, we can expect it back on the television screen sometime in 2011-2012.

The dude in the middle with the black hair glaring at the guy on the left looks like Brock Samson from Venture Bros XD

Makes me relieved that 2-D isn't dead quite yet. Love your rendition!! :)

Ha ha, might be the expression!
Not at all the same type of attitude (but as badass in his own way).

For television, 2D is still master.
For now.
May it always have a presence. 3D isn't everything.

This. It makes me sad that most kids movies now remind me more of video games than animation. :(

Holy Crap! I grew up on this cartoon! Use to watch it on nickelodeon back in the 80's! Great! You now have the theme song stuck in my head now!
Children of the Sun, see your time has just begun,
Searching for your way through Adventures every day.
(Ahhhh-ah-ah-ah) Wishing for the Cities of Gold!
