I agree. As much as I love Pitch, one of the reasons are how wonderfuly evil he is. I think the other fangirls are cutting him too much slack. Fear is not good, healthy caution is. I believe Pitch was the spirit of caution before he was corupted by pride.
Love this!! Y'know, I have mixed feelings about Pitch... I mean, no one likes to be afraid... But how can you blame Pitch for being who he is? I mean, yes he goes a bit overboard, but still.. The feeling is the same, he doesn't want to be forgotten or ignored.... Besides, to have light and happiness you need darkness and fear too... right?? Damn you Pitch for making me think too hard about the world!!!
Hm, is this meant to imply that the boy who Pitch met in the First Movement spent a significant amount of time following Pitch, enough for the Guardians to take note and think the boy grew on Pitch enough to emotionally impact him in this fight? What indeed happened to the boy; while the actual cause of his death might not be important, his absence in Pitch's life is.
I hope that some greater explanation is given about the boy's death, perhaps even a short scene depicting it? If only to hear the boy's final words and see Pitch's immediate reaction to the death. From there, his reaction to the boy's death now may have changed and given real light into how Pitch came to feel for the boy.
There's a Batman the cartoon series episode with the Scarecrow using a new fear gas that erases fear, causing people to take stupid risks, like swinging on a rope twenty feet in the air or telling of their boss and getting fired, and making even Batman lose his fear of killing (Robin luckily stop shim from crossing the line). That's one problem with fear, can't live without it.
C'mon Pitch, don't getting drunk off your own power, haven't you been watching those pitiful humans, that's how their short live get all the more shorter.
That made me think of Kevin Levin in Ben 10 Ultimate Alien. He was forced into absorbing power to become a monster, but absorbed so much that lost his control, and started attacking even the people he loved.
