Third Movement: Depression P.1 by rufftoon Third Movement: Depression P.1 by rufftoon
This one is set in 1932, the story very much a mirror of this one:
[link]

Pitch has been falling in power for ages. He's reached pretty much the bottom now.
There are even less magical beings in the world. That, or they are geographically bound to certain parts of the world.

I keep imagining that world getting more and more barren of magic. So even Jack Frost, a late comer, didn’t get the chance to interact with many spirits or other weather phenoms. It’s a very lonely world, when you’re not believed in…

This one turned out to be 4 pages.
(all characters belong to Dreamworks)

All of the RotG short stories are beautiful, but I like this one the best.

Oooh, great opening. It must be tough to see your power waning bit by bit.

Again, I apologize if I don't comment on all of them, but I fav them all. I love your comics so much! They enlighten them.

Poor Pitch. :(

I love how even Pitch is practically jobless during the Depression.

He's still very busy. He's just not getting the recognition anymore.

Bet Pitch is having fun with this "End of the World" rumor that's been going around these days. :giggle:

Yeah- too bad those quickly die out after the date has passed. Then you have to wait for the next rumor to start.

I'm a little confused at the moment: you are starting a new story now while the last ones had no ending panel? °.°
Your stories are all together interesting, but I would love to see the ending of the "Second Movement: Battle" before reading a new installment.

Battle ended where I wanted it - on a cliffhanger. I'll be bouncing back and forth in time, during short moments.
Maybe at some point I'll do something longer form, but right now, short ones are all I have the time for.

It is interesting, how different fear is now compared to long ago.

We've learned a lot since then. For example, we should still be afraid of a lightning strike, but since we know how it works (and not caused by some deity or supernatural power), we approach that danger differently.

Whatever happened to the cat-lip kid? Tooth said he was gone, but Pitch cut her off before she could finish.

Well Pitch, considering how things are gonna go, you'll have plenty of fear to go on in a few years time.

There will always be fear, including some irrational ones.
But it may not make more people believe in him...

Interesting... it seems people are still fearful, but more of concrete things and less of monsters in the dark. Sucks for Pitch. :(

In this story I got lot of sympathy for Pitch. He've seen the centuries of the human race vanished and renew. Now he's helpless against the disbelief and oblivion of his own existence. Very touching and kind of depressing.

He wished the world stayed ignorant. People would then keep believing in even the weirdest thing.
