Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

When I requested they stop with the links, they asked for a link to a twitter comment or similar...but no. I fear they are too full of themselves, but I wanted to at least try to get them to stop.

The person who had Mike's comment on the video repost took everything down as per requested, with all the comments that went with it, unfortunately.
So no link.
As I said, I doubt they would believe this would have been really Mike's comment and not some other person.
Best thing to do now is to lead by example. If people want to repost...little we can do to convince them not to.

No thanks, Korra was supposed to be out in November. Nickelodeon seems to have quite a few episodes finished and I'm not going to wait 1-2 years for them to get their act together. I will be watching and saving every bit of leaked video.

Supposed to be out by November...was only a date set by fans, not by the broadcaster. Perhaps the animation studio once gave out a an EARLY plan, before the production of Korra even started, as to when they should theoretically like to air the first episodes, but plans can change due to production.
It was stated at Comicon this past July, by both creators of the show, that no dates had been set. That is the most recent, accurate information (and infuriating in being so vague).
That being said, there's nothing to stop you from watching and saving those leaked videos. All that they asked was to not re-post,re-blog or link again to the leaked material. That's all. A small sign of respect for their hard work.
