Last time I bother you people with it.
Ok, probably not.

This is the last trailer- the one that is probably closest to the feel of the movie as a whole.

Sorry, no YouTube link yet. I'll update this journal once it makes it there.

I just wanted to say- we just got back from seeing HTTYD, and we absolutely loved</b> it! Definitely going to go back and see it at least one more time. You guys did a fantastic job, so I'm going to spread the word as much as possible and get all of my friends to go and see it.

Thanks again for such a delightful work! You all did a great job! :D

This looks a lot more promising than before, still prefer the books - but this look unique in its own right. :)

I'm sorry, but truthfully I like the book much better, and I think they could have stuck to it and still make it great. <=/

At the beginning of development, the movie was a faithful adaptation of the book. Somewhere, at some time, someone decided that it would not do. Why, I don't know. They must have seen something that did not work well for a film.
The movie became almost a sort of prequel, before Dragons and Vikings learned to live side by side.
The books will always stay the true, original source. No movie can change that. I can understand still preferring the books. I'm a big fan of original material too.

Ahh, right; I think I had heard that somewhere as well. And what you said is very true, no movie can ever change what the book was really about.

But the only thing that has truly bothered me is the over-commercializing they have done to the production. Adding a love interest, drastically altering characters, ect.

At first I was kind of dubious about the storyline, but it really DOES look awesome. I've got to say, Dreamworks is probably my favorite company by far!

You have to think of the storyline as almost a prequel to the books, before Vikings and Dragons could live side by side (there are multiple other differences with the books I'm afraid...)
